date night ::: with the little guy

the huuby was out last night looking after his mumma. she had surgery on her foot a few days ago so she is immobile at the moment. he went and cooked her dinner and sat and chatted with her for about 5 hours, he said he had a great time. i love that he loves his mum so much and it inspired me to spend more quality time with my little boy.

i have been given the gift of time with my little man and now i am going to thoroughly enjoy every minute if it. so last night we had our first official date night. i told him i was going to take him out for dinner and he could chose anything he likes to eat and drink of the menu and he thought that was pretty special. we went to the dome and he chose where we were going to sit, just that little bit of authority made him puff up his chest all big and proud.

we ate together and chatted together about the day we had, he was very good company.
after dinner we went for a stroll along the beach, it was a beautiful night and then will had a little play on the playground before we headed home for bath and bed time.

i have decided that this is going to be a weekly thing for will and i, to go on a special date together. not necessarily to a restaurant every time but just set some time aside to go and do something with him where my focus in devoted solely to him and having fun times together. that is how good memories are made.
