woke up way too early thanks to the little guy, but i have an awesome hubby who does early mornings. he knows that i am a monster until i have my morning tea so they both know to leave me well enough alone

showered and dressed early coz someone was coming to the house at 8.30... the plumber

plumber fixed my toilet {i hate broken toilets they are yucky}

swimming lessons with the little guy. tried my best to avoid my boss, fellow teachers and school children at the pool but did not succeed. i don't look too flash in my bathers and i prefer to hide out

home for shower and bath, i hate the smell of chlorine and my bathers are suffering terribly too

had a fight with the ants in my kitchen. they are not welcome in my house yet they still insist on visiting

lunch... boring crackers and fruit

raced cars, built towers, constructed a city and danced with dinosaurs {then put on the tv to distract him and went about my work}

played on the internet

downloaded a new iphone photo app

attempted to work out how to use said app

food shopping, ick. hate it rather go hungry then do it but the boys in the house were complaining of lack of food and what not so it had to be done

baking, the house smelled divine.  cakes and slices for ladies morning tea tomorro

uttered the phrases "put down your gun and brush your teeth" and "get your scooter out of the toilet this is where you pee not play"

chatted with two chickens and thanked them for their eggs

washing, dishes, dinner 

wrestled a three year old in and out of clothes, in and out of the car, in and out of the bath and finally into bed

and after all that i sweated it out at the gym... crazy i know but honestly if i don't go to the gym i just don't have the energy to get through the day

down by the river

we celebrated my brother-in-laws thirtieth birthday yesterday, down by the river and it was a beautiful day...

i am joining in with sunday snippets

and now it is back to the work a day week... today's jobs include washing, washing and more washing, vacuuming, tidying, sorting out my junk {a mammoth task} and playing with the little guy of course {that is my favorite part of the day}

a big fat oops!

as you can see {or not see in this case} all my photos have disappeared.
i deleted some of my goggle accounts and obviously by accident i deleted the account that housed all my pictures from my blogs.
a big fat ooops!
never mind, i shall start over again.

but as i am a very busy girl it may take me a little while

new face

the other day my new face arrived in the mail box, and by new face i mean my new glasses!
as i told you i went for an eye exam the other week as i was due for some new glasses. my old lenses were getting a bit scratched up and it was becoming increasingly difficult to see out of them!
instead of picking my frames out from the store i ordered them offline. a pretty risky thing to do as obviously you cant try them on to see if they suit you or not. but i played it safe and just ordered a pair that were very similar to my last pair.

there is a lot of complaints coming out of retail stores at the moment about customers wasting sales peoples time. customers are going into shops and the sales assistants are showing them their products and working extra hard to get a sale and then the customer says thank you very much and walks away empty handed. the customer then goes online and orders the product the sale assistant recommended them thus leaving the shop out ouf pocket and the sales assistant without their commission.

so with that in the back of my mind i was a little reluctant to try on frames in the store and then go an order online. i felt too guilty to even attempt it.
but most of the time ordering online is the best way to go because you can get the products so much cheaper and this was definitely the case with my glasses.
my hubby, the super discount coupon er, was able to search the web and track down a whole heap of discount codes on my glasses and i was able to knock off quite a bit of money off my order. it was amazing. i ordered through clearly contacts and he found a couple of discounts on their site and one on their facebook page, cha ching! customers are always going to vote with their feet so the retail stores better keep up with their online counter parts and start offering us the products at a cheaper rate. can i hear an amen?

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is  

eeek! it is friday again
my week has flown past but yet it has gone slow at the same time
does that make sense at all??
probably not
i have been waiting for somebody to get back to me about something
and it has been super frustrating because they are taking such a long time
{well so i think, my hubby disagrees with me and thinks they are taking an appropriate amount of time and that i am just impatient and i think he is right}
so i have been trying to keep myself busy to try and not think about them not calling me
here are the things i am have been loving this week...

 this week the hubby and i enjoyed an afternoon out together

we went to the football to watch our favorite teams battle it out in the NAB cup

my team, the west coast eagles were victorious

it was hot sitting in the blazing sun, now i know why AFL is a winter sport

i love footy, i love afternoons out and about and i love this guy

i had a voucher to spend in one of my fav stores

and i found this gorgeous necklace

LOVE it!

i think i loved on this a few weeks ago

but i am going to love on it again this week

homemade relish, yum!

the jar is nearly empty and i am going to have to send it back to my puppa-in-law so he can refill it for me

now that the little guy is no longer at school and we are free of constrictions we have been enjoying the slow lane

lunch in the sunshine and playing in the park 

while the little guy amused himself i was able to relax and do some reading

LOVE it!

it is a must read

it will change your life

it certainly has changed mine 

there is always plenty to do around the house

and the boring jobs are always a lot more fun when i do them with this little guy

truth be told he did most of the work cleaning the car

and he did a really good job of it
