In my online world I have met some truly wonderful people. Recently I have been able to met some of my online lovelies in person. These ladies have blessed me in many ways even though we have only been chatting for a short amount of time. They have provided me me encouraging and supportive words, new friendships and play fellows for the little guy, they have followed along with our journey overseas, provided me with something to read and see glimpses of home through their eyes in the lonely hours out on the mission field and have also provided us with practical gifts upon our return home. I am truly blessed to have come across these lovely ladies, online and in real life.
One of those lovely ladies is Em and you can fine her over at her blog teacups too. She is hosting a link up with her regular posts tea with me and I have decided to join with her {please go and check her out and the other lovelies who are joining in on the link up}.
If you were to come and have tea {and if you are lucky some biscuits!} with me this week you would roll up my long steep driveway and probably find my little guy out playing in the beautiful sunshine. He will either be hanging from a tree or perched on top of the sand pile playing another wild and imaginative game that may involve his imaginary puppies or shooting bad guys with bow and arrows.
As for me you will find me in the house probably with sleep creases on my face as I would have just caught a few winks between entertaining the little guy and organising the house. My energy levels are decreasing as my work load is increasing. But I am glad to say I am healthy and our baby girl is healthy and we are in count down mode for her arrival {which could be a s soon as 10 weeks away!}
The house is coming along and it is starting to feel a little more like home. At first it still felt a little strange as all the things in our house were new {to us}. They were not our old familiar things that we used to come home to and that made the place feel like home. But this week I unpacked the one box of things we had kept and placed them around the house so seeing some familiar items has helped the settling in process.
My hubby would not be home to enjoy a cup of tea with us on the verandah as he has secured him self a new job for the next few months. God has blessed us again beyond our imaginations. The first day he was away at work I think the little guy asked every half an hour "when is Daddy coming home". We really miss him.
Considering I have only been living in our little country house for nearly two weeks I would show you around the place. You would see the unfinished nursery which fingers crossed will get a fresh coat of paint this weekend, William would proudly show you his little play room and his bedroom. He is so happy to be reunited with all his little treasures again. We would also wonder outside and show you the little orchard and if you are lucky there might be some ripe mango's you can pick and take home. We would show you where our big veggie patch is going to go and the new hen house which will be home to our new chickens which Will has already named Bob and Wendy, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Donald.
If you could get the little guy to sit still long enough he may tell you about his first week back at school. Now that it is Friday he is a little tiered but he has really enjoyed him self. I am enjoying the quiet time while he is away but I am very glad he is not at full time school yet, it is nice to have him home a few days a week.
So that is how you would find us this week if you came for tea.
I am linking up with the lovely Em and if you would like to join in head on over to her lovely blog.
And thanks Em for letting us all come together for tea!
Meek! I have loved tea-ing with you! So glad you're feeling settled in, and more at home, especially since the little one's arrival is so soon! Let the nesting begin ;) Thank you so much for your sweet compliments, and for linking up for our first tea! We should have a real life one soon! xxx
